Death Howl Launches on Consoles: The Launch Trailer

Publisher 11 Bit Studios and developer The Outer Zone announce the console release of Death Howl. Originally released on PC last December, the game is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch platforms starting today, February 19. Death Howl tells the bitter story of Ro, a huntress who ventures into the spirit realm to try and bring her deceased son back.

Characterized by a unique, very dark style, this title features gameplay that starts as a deckbuilder and evolves into turn-based tactics, with battles that aspire to the ruthlessness of soulslikes. In our Death Howl review, we appreciated its visual identity, the story (though not entirely original), and partly the gameplay. Unfortunately, the marked underlying repetitiveness negatively impacted the final judgment.
