Dutch studio Square Glade Games announces the release of Outbound: the game is available starting today, May 11, on Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox PC) and on the Game Pass service. In three days, on May 14, this title will also arrive on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 platforms. Outbound is an open-world exploration experience that combines base building with the relaxing atmospheres of cozy games.
The typical dynamics of resource gathering and base building are combined with a journey that maintains calm and peaceful tones throughout its duration. In our Outbound review, we describe it as a kind of interactive vacation, which conveys serenity and, thanks to its hybrid nature, can also attract those who don't love the genre. However, it is a title that becomes quite repetitive and with a world that is a bit too empty.
