"It only takes one phone call": Inde Navarrette would immediately accept a role in the Call of Duty film. Interviewed by Collider alongside Ray Nicholson, the actress revealed she is a fan of the series, so much so that she streamed her own games on Twitch before making it big in Hollywood. Paramount's adaptation will be directed by Peter Berg, who will work on a screenplay penned by Taylor Sheridan.

The same Nicholson, whom we saw in Smile 2, expressed interest in acting in the film. During the interview, he joked about his British accent, which he is trying to perfect, and called it an honor to have the opportunity to work with Peter Berg again after The Mosquito Bowl.

Narrative Techniques Through Anime

Off-set, Navarrette cultivates an interest in storytelling that goes beyond video games. She follows anime like Jujutsu Kaisen and Demon Slayer and studies the narrative solutions adopted by authors to apply them to her own screenplays. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she explained that she observes how information introduced in one episode can gain meaning much later, even through revelations related to the characters' destinies.

The actress will play Rogue in the new X-Men film, scheduled for release in US cinemas on May 5, 2028. Participation in Call of Duty remains only a possibility for now, at least until Paramount officially announces the cast.
