Developer The Game Bakers announces the release of Cairn: this game is available starting today, January 29, on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam). Cairn aims to offer a simulation-style climbing experience, allowing players to intuitively find hand and foot holds, while also having to consider factors such as balance, posture, and exertion.
Cairn's unforgiving gameplay
A realistic approach, then, but one that leaves no room for indulgence: in addition to the constant risk of falling, there's also the survival component to consider, with food, water, and medicine to manage. Cairn lets the player freely choose which direction to undertake the ascent of Mount Kami; this peak has never been conquered before, but protagonist Aava is determined to succeed.
