Apple TV Announces New Docuseries on Andre Agassi
The series will explore Agassi's personal and professional journey, beyond his on-court triumphs.

Apple TV has announced the production of a new documentary series dedicated to tennis player Andre Agassi, one of the most iconic and complex figures in sports history. The project comes sixteen years after the release of Open: An Autobiography, a memoir that revolutionized sports storytelling and is still considered one of the most influential works of American sports literature.
The series will retrace Agassi's human and professional journey, going beyond his on-court triumphs to explore the inner conflicts, family pressures, falls, and comebacks that marked the life of this authentic tennis legend. Directing will be Emmy Award winner Chris Smith, while production is entrusted to Smith's Library Films, with Stacy Smith and Justin Gimelstob serving as producers.
The Man Behind the Sports Myth

With this new project, Apple TV further strengthens its commitment to telling great true stories, adding the Agassi documentary to a catalog that ranges from successful series, award-winning films, and high-profile original productions.
Since its global debut in 2019, the platform has quickly established itself as one of the benchmarks of international streaming, collecting hundreds of accolades including the Oscar for Best Picture for CODA and numerous Emmys, as in the case of Ted Lasso.
