Disney+ Christmas Village explored space by space
Forest
The journey begins in Forest, the large outdoor space that represents the visual heart of the Disney+ Christmas Village. Here, the Christmas atmosphere is created through a widespread system of lights and luminous installations that define the area as a true urban winter village. At the center of the space stands the themed tree dedicated to Percy Jackson and the Olympians, designed as the main scenic element and a reference point for the public, as well as a direct reference to the new series.
Within Forest, multiple thematic corners coexist, each with a distinct identity. On one side, the area inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas, playing with lights, silhouettes, and recognizable visual references. On the other, a series of game corners dedicated to Lilo & Stitch and Fantastic Four: The Beginning, which bring the experience to a more playful and informal level. Also in this first space is the immersive virtual reality experience of Frozen II, designed as a moment of total immersion in the film's universe and a more intimate break within the outdoor journey.
Creative Hub and Immersive Tunnel
From the outdoor space, visitors then move to the Creative Hub, a covered area organized as a creative workshop. Here, the public can participate in structured activities, including Funko workshops, LEGO experiences, and a makeup corner. This section shifts the focus from observation to direct participation, designed primarily for a family audience but seamlessly integrated into the overall journey.
The connection between the different areas is provided by the Immersive Tunnel, a scenic passage where Christmas lights and sounds create an enveloping atmosphere, especially as evening falls.
Outdoor Market and Veranda
Upon exiting the tunnel, the Outdoor Market opens up, a space that combines thematic setups and photo opportunities. Here, corners dedicated to various series, including Gilmore Girls, are found, along with stations designed for taking souvenir photos. In the same area, there is also a mini-game inspired by Home Alone, which adds a light and immediate moment to the journey.
The Veranda, on the other hand, hosts two cult TV series, with installations built exclusively for photo opportunities. The setups dedicated to The Simpsons and How I Met Your Mother recreate the iconic sofas from the two series, perfect for a souvenir selfie.
Throwback Area
The journey concludes in the Throwback Area, the most overtly nostalgic space in the entire village. Here, the focus is on the 2000s of Disney Channel, with photo corners and small games dedicated to Lizzie McGuire, Camp Rock, Hannah Montana, and High School Musical. It is a section that openly works on collective memory and generational imagination, designed for those who grew up with these titles and recognize them immediately, transforming memory into a shared experience.
