Life is Strange Reunion - Max and Chloe Together for One Last Adventure
Life Is Strange Reunion has been officially announced. Discover all the news and details about Max and Chloe's last adventure.
Max Caulfield returns in Life Is Strange Reunion, a title announced by Deck Nine Games during today's showcase, Tuesday, January 20th.
The news, which, as we had already anticipated, had already been leaked by PEGI, the European video game rating agency, was confirmed by Deck Nine Games with an announcement trailer followed by an in-depth look at the new features and secrets present in Life Is Strange Reunion.
If we decided to save Arcadia Bay, Chloe confides in Max that she has visions of events that never happened and sees herself lifeless in the Blackwell bathroom; Chloe knows all this is impossible, yet she doubts she is dead.
If, on the other hand, we decided to save Chloe, she will tell us that she has visions in which she sees a storm hitting Arcadia Bay and her mother's grave. This stuns Max, who informs Chloe that the storm did indeed happen and Joyce, unfortunately, didn't make it, only to reconsider when Chloe shows her a photo taken a month earlier with her mother.
How all this happened is actually told by Max herself.
When, at the end of Life Is Strange Double Exposure, Max re-stitched the two realities where Safi is alive and dead, she most likely did much more; also uniting the two realities that are created at the end of the first Life Is Strange, consequently Chloe has memories linked to both dimensions.
The game will most likely let us select what we chose at the end of the first Life Is Strange and then tell the story based on the decision made.
Glimpses of Life Is Strange Reunion's Plot and Gameplay
Life Is Strange Reunion will therefore lead us to investigate two secrets: What is happening to Chloe and how to prevent the fire at Caledon University.
During the adventure, we will be able to play as both Max and Chloe.
Playing as Max, we will have the power to rewind time and fix mistakes made or words spoken too much.
In Life is Strange Reunion, we can go back in time at any moment using an auto-rewind, which will make us retrace all the events that have occurred, or a fast rewind that will most likely take us to the last key action.
The timeline of events is shown by the time spiral already present in the first Life Is Strange, where events that have an impact on the plot will be shown with a dot.
Furthermore, since rewinding has no effect on Max and her position, we can cover any distance in the blink of an eye; a mechanic that will allow us to solve a series of puzzles.
The sessions with Chloe, on the other hand, will be based on the character's insolence, who will be more blunt and direct than ever.
Thanks to her insolence, Chloe will be able to infiltrate the campus, gather information, and provoke various characters. However, the way Chloe behaves will have consequences on how people relate to her, thus also impacting the investigations.
The dynamic duo will have 3 days to find out what started the fire.
Max is sure it's arson, but it's unclear whether it's revenge against the university, a move by the citizens of Lakeport, or the action of someone trying to cover up something dark.
Furthermore, during these 3 days, we will also have the opportunity to rebuild the relationship between Max and Chloe, strengthening their friendship or trying to ignite the spark of love.
