Xbox: Console Prices Receive Another, Significant Increase
Our hobby is becoming less and less affordable

The global market for gaming hardware is going through a critical period due to the unfortunately well-known RAM crisis. We saw a clear example of this very recently when the very high price of Steam Machine was revealed. Xbox, in turn, is experiencing a very delicate moment, with the arrival of Asha Sharma, who has been called in to fix a struggling division, even making unpopular decisions such as staff cuts. If we combine these two things, nothing good can come of it.
Xbox Increases Again
Last September, Xbox consoles received a price increase: it wasn't the first, and unfortunately not the last either, because new increases have been announced, which will come into effect for the American market starting August 1, 2026 (for now there is no news regarding Europe, but we are not deluding ourselves...). Xbox Wire reports that the 512 GB memory model will receive a $100 increase, the 1 TB models will increase by a full $150, and the 2 TB version will be discontinued.
