X-Files - The Reboot and Gillian Anderson's First Reaction

The new project related to The X-Files continues to take shape and, this time, a signal arrives that changes the mood around the reboot. Gillian Anderson has indeed read the script for the first episode and her judgment was surprisingly positive.

During a public event, the actress explained that she had already discussed it multiple times with Ryan Coogler, who is involved in the development of the new series. It is not, therefore, a simple comment of circumstance: the actress spoke openly about an interesting project, inviting the public to welcome it without prejudice.

An Unforgettable Past

In development for Disney+ and Hulu, the reboot does not aim to mechanically replicate the original formula. The idea is to build a new story with new characters, while maintaining the investigative spirit and the charm of mystery that made the series famous in the '90s.

However, the most important question remains: will Dana Scully really return? There is no official confirmation yet, but the openness shown by the actress makes the scenario more concrete than in the past. Even a limited presence would be enough (perhaps) to create a direct bridge with the original series.

In a modern context of misinformation, invasive technology, and new collective fears, the return of The X-Files could find fertile ground. And with Anderson involved, even if only partially, the operation would gain a whole new weight, even more so with Duchovny.
