Warner Bros. Games Announces Launch of Game Of Thrones: Dragonfire

In a dynasty divided by fire and blood, players enter Westeros as a rising dragon rider, a Valyrian descendant who has just bonded with their first dragon. From hatchling to warrior, fans will hatch, grow, and command dragons as they expand their power across Westeros, with the ultimate goal of conquering King’s Landing. With 28 unique dragons available at launch and more to come with future updates, players can collect iconic dragons like Caraxes and Syrax, along with original ones created specifically for the game. Each dragon features specific commands, passive tendency abilities, troop affinities, and powerful synergies that allow for a variety of strategies and playstyles.

 

Up to five dragon-led armies can be deployed, coordinating marches, establishing strategic assaults, and defensive maneuvers within the tile map, bringing the intensity of the Dance of the Dragons to life. Beyond the battlefield, fans can fly their dragons in the Dragon Attack mini-game, where they must dodge obstacles and breathe fire on incoming enemies.

Game of Thrones: Dragonfire builds on Warner Bros. Games Boston’s mobile strategy expertise to create a modern and accessible game, combining tile-based warfare, territorial expansion, and the power of dragons, as players fight for control of the Seven Kingdoms. The game includes a vibrant world where time-limited seasonal realms reset the challenge and struggle for territorial control, introducing new stories while keeping the competition balanced for new and returning players. In contrast, permanent progress such as dragon growth remains, allowing for long-term progression.

 

Strategic map control is crucial as players form alliances, coordinate attacks, and fight to conquer iconic locations and castles across Westeros. Each tile provides different benefits, from resources to upgrade strongholds, train troops, and grow dragons, to geographical advantages that allow more allies to garrison and send reinforcements to armies more quickly.

 

Drawing inspiration from the events of “House of the Dragon,” Game of Thrones: Dragonfire transports players into an original story that places them at the center of the Targaryen succession conflict. Through campaigns, epic story-driven conflicts, players encounter familiar locations, characters, and power struggles from the series, while actively shaping the fate of the realm. From fighting to claim Rhaenyra Targaryen’s Iron Throne to infiltrating the Greens to shape events, each campaign offers a player-defined path into the fan-favorite world.

 

The narrative of Game of Thrones: Dragonfire evolves based on player choices and performance, with branching storylines and campaign phases that change with each realm, offering new outcomes, rewards, and story moments. By completing personal, alliance, and faction objectives, players can unlock special scenes directly linked to their actions on the battlefield. Single players can contribute significantly to vast faction objectives without joining an alliance, ensuring multiple paths to progress. Player decisions collectively influence the story’s development, creating an exciting shared experience across Westeros.
