Warcraft III: Reforged Returns with Forsaken Kingdom, the First New Campaign in 23 Years
Warcraft III: Reforged Returns with Forsaken Kingdom, the First New Campaign in 23 Years. Blizzard brings the RTS back to Lordaeron with a story dedicated to the birth of Undercity. The campaign is available today.

Blizzard returns to Warcraft III with Forsaken Kingdom, a new campaign for Warcraft III: Reforged announced during BlizzCon 2026 and already available. As explained in the official event recap, the story retraces the fall of Lordaeron and the events that led to the birth of Undercity, thus delving into an important passage in the history of the Forsaken.
The campaign follows the aftermath of King Terenas's death at Arthas's hands and involves characters like Sylvanas Windrunner, revisiting events set between Warcraft III and the world that would later be developed in World of Warcraft.
Forsaken Kingdom also accompanies the Warcraft III: Reforged 3.0 update, which introduces graphical changes, World Editor improvements, and other new features. It is above all an unexpected return for the Blizzard RTS: The Frozen Throne, Warcraft III's last major original expansion, dates back to 2003.
