Video Games Beyond Entertainment: The Exhibition Inaugurated in Rome

Video Games Beyond Entertainment is the name of the new thematic exhibition that was inaugurated in Rome at Palazzo Piacentini, headquarters of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, with Minister Adolfo Urso in attendance.

The exhibition is presented by IIDEA, the trade association for the video game industry in Italy, and aims to communicate to visitors the growth of the video game market in Italy: between 2019 and 2024, in fact, growth was measured at around 24%, with a business volume of 26.8 Billion Euros and 116,000 qualified professionals employed in Europe.

Italy constitutes one of the top 5 European markets: the gaming population ranges from 6 to 64 years old, with an average age of 31, and is almost equally distributed between men and women (55%-45%).
