Verity - The New Trailer and Colleen Hoover's Darker Side
Struggling writer agrees to complete the novel series of famous author Verity Crawford

The new trailer for Verity brings Colleen Hoover's darkest novel to the big screen, with Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett at the center of a psychological thriller where the truth might be much harder to pinpoint than expected.
Directed by Michael Showalter, the film follows Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer hired to complete the novel series of famous author Verity Crawford, who is unable to continue her work after a serious accident. Having moved into the family's residence, Lowen begins to examine the material left by the writer, until she stumbles upon a private manuscript that radically changes what she thought she knew about Verity and her husband Jeremy.
A manuscript that can change everything
It is this discovery that transforms Lowen's assignment into something much more dangerous. The trailer emphasizes the uncertainty surrounding the document: do these confessions recount real events, or are they part of a construct designed to manipulate the reader?
Hathaway's character thus seems to become the true core of the mystery, while Johnson plays a protagonist increasingly entangled in a situation from which it might be difficult to escape. The cast also includes Ismael Cruz Córdova and Brady Wagner.
