Valheim Arrives on PlayStation 5 in 2026

Valheim is an uncompromising survival game set in a universe inspired by Norse mythology. Developed by the Swedish studio Iron Gate, this title was released in February 2021 on PC, via Steam, in early access, immediately achieving great success. Two years later, Valheim also landed on Xbox. Today, the game is still in early access, but there is important news for the future.

Valheim on PS5, in view of patch 1.0

Iron Gate and publisher Coffee Stain announce that Valheim will also arrive on the PlayStation 5 console: the appointment with Sony's flagship is set for 2026. Another Swedish studio, Piktiv, is handling the porting, so that the developers can focus on future content. Among this content, The Deep North stands out, the frozen biome that should debut with patch 1.0: there are no official dates yet, but it is rumored that Valheim could exit early access in 2026 (perhaps precisely when it will be launched on PS5?).
