Developers Eidos Montreal and Nightdive Studios, and publisher Atari, have announced Thief: The Dark Project Remastered, an updated edition of the 1998 first-person stealth classic from Looking Glass Studios. The title that defined the genre almost three decades ago will return to PC and consoles with Gold Edition content and new quality of life features.

What's new in Thief: The Dark Project Remastered?

The experience will be the same, but players will enjoy improved graphics, thanks to Nightdive's KEX Engine, a modern interface with a weapon and item wheel, the ability to select individual missions, cut cinematics and animations from the original release, and support for community-created campaigns over the years.

When is Thief: The Dark Project Remastered coming out?

Thief: The Dark Project Remastered is scheduled to debut during the upcoming winter season on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Here's the announcement trailer.
