The Mandalorian and Grogu: Trailer and Italian Release Date
The trailer teases a story of action, galactic-scale conflicts, and a deeper focus on the bond between Din and Grogu

Lucasfilm brings one of the most beloved duos in the Star Wars universe back to the big screen. The new trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, the first cinematic film dedicated to Din Djarin and little Grogu, is online, arriving in Italian cinemas on May 20, 2026.
The story is set after the fall of the Empire: while the New Republic attempts to restore order to the galaxy, several Imperial warlords still operate in the shadows. In this unstable scenario, the legendary Mandalorian, played by Pedro Pascal, is called to intervene, accompanied by his inseparable apprentice. The film promises an epic expansion of the atmospheres seen in the series, with a more cinematic scope and a larger stake.
After the Fall of the Empire...
Jon Favreau returns to direct, joined in production by Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni. The cast also features Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White, while the music is composed by Oscar winner Ludwig Göransson.
The trailer hints at action, galactic-scale conflicts, and a deeper exploration of the bond between Din and Grogu, the emotional core of the project. After its television success, the universe created by Favreau thus makes the definitive leap to cinema, opening a new phase for the Disney franchise.
