The stage of The Game Awards 2025 is shaken by a big announcement: a new game in the Star Wars universe, a franchise that needs no introduction. Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is announced with an impactful teaser, which unfortunately doesn't tell us much. However, we do know that it will be a single-player action/adventure, story-driven, and, get this, it's considered the spiritual successor to a certain Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Who is the developer of Fate of the Old Republic
Fate of the Old Republic will be developed by Arcanaut Studios, a team of industry veterans who will collaborate with Lucasfilm Games. The game director will be Casey Hudson, who not only directed KOTOR but also the Mass Effect trilogy. For now, no launch window or platforms have been announced.
