The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - The Remake Announcement
The legend is reborn on Nintendo Switch 2

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was the first 3D installment in Nintendo's glorious series and is considered a milestone for three-dimensional games, having profoundly influenced many titles that followed it. Rightfully regarded as among the best video games of all time, Ocarina of Time was released way back in 1998 on the Nintendo 64 console and is about to make a return, in a modern guise.
The Ocarina of Time Remake
Nintendo has announced the remake of Ocarina of Time, which will be released as an absolute exclusive on Nintendo Switch 2, in 2026. The announcement teaser unfortunately shows us very little, other than a sleeping Link (a scene that echoes the original game's opening sequence). A curiosity: this is not the first remake of OoT; one was released for 3DS in 2011; Nintendo seems to have developed a taste for "multiple remakes", something it also did for Star Fox.
