Sony and Tencent Reach Agreement: Light of Motiram Disappears from Stores
The dispute has been resolved with a private agreement between the parties

The dispute arising from the controversial Light of Motiram seems to have finally been resolved, but in the worst possible way for the game itself. Let's recap the events: Light of Motiram was announced just over a year ago, and its resemblance to the Horizon Zero Dawn franchise seemed so blatant that even then we predicted legal repercussions. This year, Sony indeed took legal action, and Tencent tried to justify its position.
The Agreement Between Sony and Tencent
As we mentioned, the dispute has reportedly been resolved: TheGamePost reports that the two parties involved asked the California Federal Court to dismiss the legal proceedings after reaching an out-of-court settlement. The terms of this agreement are not known, so we don't know if or how much Tencent paid for "the trouble," but there is a significant consequence: Light of Motiram has been withdrawn from digital stores. After this latest development, we don't know if Polaris Quest studio's project will return in a new form or never see the light of day.
