Shed trailer: Australian horror to discover
Mick Taylor in a new horror before his return to the Wolf Creek franchise

Australian horror cinema is making waves again with Shed, a survival thriller that, from the trailer, immediately appears tense and claustrophobic. It marks John Jarratt's return to the big screen before his next confrontation with the cult character of Mick Taylor in the Wolf Creek saga.
Set on Christmas Eve, the film follows the story of Mia, a ten-year-old girl trapped by mistake in a farm shed just as a violent man targets her home. The narrative chooses an extremely close perspective, immersing viewers in the protagonist's limited and fragile perception.
A nightmare lived just meters from danger
The most disturbing idea of Shed lies in its construction: Mia is not only isolated but hidden just steps away from the killer. Without fully understanding what is happening to her family, the girl faces hunger, fear, and a growing sense of tragedy, relying solely on her survival instinct.
Behind the camera is Steven J. Mihaljevich, who also wrote the screenplay and handled the editing, crafting a compact and psychologically tense narrative. The cast also includes Mani Shanks and Jason Robert Lester.
Presented at Screamfest, the film has garnered significant recognition in the British festival circuit, including best horror film and best screenplay. While a US release date is yet to be defined, it is unlikely that this film will reach our cinemas, likely slipping into streaming offerings.
