Conflict escalates in Another Angle Games' Steampunk Japan
Publisher Owlcat Games and developer Another Angle Games have shared a new trailer for Shadow of the Road, a turn-based tactical RPG set in an alternate version of 19th-century Japan, where tradition is joined by steampunk technology and magic. This video announces the launch window: Shadow of the Road will be available in 2026, on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG).
Shadow of the Road is set in 1868, a decisive historical moment for the Japanese nation. That year marked the end of the shogunate's supremacy and the beginning of a transition that led Japan towards modernization and opening up to the outside world. In the trailer, we see the propaganda of the East Nippon Company, which will be one of the game's key factions, staged.
