Senua Shown at Xbox Games Showcase to Attract Investors
The game is at serious risk of never seeing the light of day

A big surprise at the recent Xbox Games Showcase was the announcement of Senua, the new title in the Hellblade franchise that is expected to shift the saga towards action, with a greater emphasis on combat. An even bigger surprise came a few days later, when we learned of Microsoft's intention to close some of its studios, including Ninja Theory, which is supposed to be working on Senua.
A Trailer Aimed at Investors
Why announce the new work of a studio that has been decided to be cut? To try to attract potential investors. The answer to the question comes from journalist Stephen Totilo, who received the information from a source close to Microsoft. When the Showcase was broadcast, the American company had obviously already decided the fate of Ninja Theory, and the trailer shown at the Showcase essentially served to entice some company in the sector to come forward and acquire the studio.

What Future for Senua?
Totilo couldn't say whether Ninja Theory was involved in this plan or not, but if we really want to see Senua again, then we must hope it works. The existence of the English studio remains in serious doubt, and consequently, so does that of the new game. We will update you as soon as there is any news.
