Samsung SSD 9100 PRO – Solid State Drive up to 8TB

Samsung Electronics has announced the opening of pre-orders for the new SSD 9100 PRO and 9100 PRO with Heatsink, available for the first time in an 8TB (8,000 Gigabyte) version, the highest capacity ever offered by the brand.

The 9100 PRO series introduces PCIe 5.0 technology, capable of reaching sequential speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s read and 13,400 MB/s write, double that of the previous generation. Random performance also impresses, up to 2,200K/2,600K IOPS, ideal for handling large files, applications, and next-generation gaming.

Thanks to the 5nm controller, the new SSDs consume less power while ensuring superior performance. The Heatsink variant integrates an advanced dissipation system, ensuring cooler operation and longer lifespan. In total, Samsung declares an energy efficiency improvement of up to 49% compared to previous models.

Compatible with laptops, desktop PCs, and even PlayStation 5, the Samsung 9100 PRO sets a new standard for high-performance storage. Furthermore, the Samsung Magician software ensures timely firmware updates, data protection, and consistently optimal operation.

The 8TB model will be available at a suggested retail price of $999.99, while the Heatsink version will be priced at $1,019.99. The 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB variants are already available for purchase from the official Samsung website.
