Samsung Smart TV: Anomalous Pop-Up Blocks Viewing of Certain Channels
Several Samsung users are reporting a Polyfill pop-up appearing on their smart TVs that can disrupt channel viewing.

Several Samsung users in Italy are reporting the appearance of an anomalous pop-up screen on their smart TVs. The message refers to "Polyfill" and requests login credentials, in some cases making it difficult to watch television channels normally.
Polyfill: What is the alert on Samsung smart TVs?
According to testimonials published on official Samsung forums, the alert appears during navigation of certain digital terrestrial channels. Once it appears, the banner remains visible on the screen even after changing channels. Attempts to turn off the TV or clear the history do not seem to resolve the problem definitively.
How to solve the problem on Samsung smart TVs?
Samsung has not yet released any official communications. Among the hypotheses that have emerged in initial reports is a possible malfunction related to HbbTV technology, used to integrate interactive services with traditional television broadcasts.
While awaiting clarification, it is advisable not to enter personal data or passwords into the screen that has appeared on the affected televisions.
In the meantime, one solution could be to deactivate the HBBTV television standard.
