Ratatan, the heir to Patapon, gets a Christmas update with new content
A new narrative arc and related events dedicated to the Dark Ratatan

The developers at Ratatan Arts and TVT, and publisher Game Source Entertainment have announced the arrival of a new update for their game, Ratatan. The 2D rhythm-action roguelite, from the creators of Patapon, will introduce a new narrative arc on December 25th, focusing on the Dark Ratatan, with a more refined game progression that will lean more on events rather than combat.
New features also include Duo functionalities, to combine two or more elemental attributes into powerful abilities, and Goddess Gacha, to convert excess equipment and materials into points to spend on random items, as well as multiplayer improvements and new legendary accessories.

Ratatan is available in early access on PC via Steam, and will arrive in the future on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Here's the announcement trailer.
