Overwatch 2 Drops the "2" and Relaunches with 10 New Heroes

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Overwatch 2 will drop the "2" from its cover to simply return to Overwatch. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for the free-to-play hero shooter, with a new year-long narrative arc, "The Reign of Talon," set to kick off on February 10 with as many as five new heroes out of the ten planned over the coming months. Not only that, but the title will also debut on Switch 2 in the spring.

Season 1 will be accompanied by in-game events and dynamic updates that will advance the story. The story will conclude with Season 6 in 2027. Overwatch 2 is available on PC via Steam and Battle.net, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S.
