Onimusha: Way of the Sword presented by Capcom
A nice overview of the game, coming this year
During Capcom Spotlight, there was also space for Onimusha: Way of the Sword. The new trailer offers us an overview of the title that marks the return of the iconic action saga. Set in a dark fantasy version of 17th-century Japan, Way of the Sword stars Musashi Miyamoto, a legendary figure who aspires to become the ultimate sword master. Here, however, his plans are abruptly interrupted by the monstrous Genma, who kill him.
Resurrected with an Oni Gauntlet on his arm, Miyamoto decides to eradicate the Genma threat plaguing Japan. The trailer focuses on other aspects of the production, such as the evocative locations, the cast of supporting characters the protagonist will encounter, and the combat system. Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be released in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam), and we discuss it in depth in our preview.
