Odyssey continues its cinematic run with a result destined for the history books. Hollywood's iconic TCL Chinese Theatre has surpassed $4.1 million in box office revenue with Christopher Nolan's film, reaching the milestone after just 37 days of screenings. No other feature film had ever grossed such a figure in the historic Californian theater.

The record holds even more value considering the cinema's connection to Hollywood history. Universal and the TCL Chinese Theatre celebrated the achievement, highlighting the particular impact of the IMAX experience offered by the film.

Its run on the big screen will continue until September 16, with screenings on 70 mm film. Meanwhile, the adventure directed by Nolan has already reached $1.35 billion at the global box office, becoming the director's biggest success of his career.

The next release will be on November 17, when Odyssey will arrive simultaneously in Digital and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray formats. Universal had followed a similar strategy with Oppenheimer. The film has also surpassed Deadpool & Wolverine, claiming the record among R-rated films with the highest gross in cinema history.
