No Man's Sky Updates with Patch 6.4 - The Swarm
A new threat looms over the game's universe

In August, No Man's Sky will turn ten years old, but its developer, the British studio Hello Games, seems to have no intention of stopping its development. No later than last month, with the release of the Xeno Arena update, players were engaged in a sort of spatial variant of Pokémon, but now it's already time for a new update, which introduces further novelties to the sci-fi universe of No Man's Sky.
The Swarm Update
Today, May 27, patch 6.4 for No Man's Sky is released, named The Swarm due to a new, menacing robotic swarm. Led by a monstrous alien spaceship, the Hive of Glass, this swarm is seriously intent on wiping out all space travelers in No Man's Sky. Players will therefore have to eradicate the threat, collaborating in the expedition to defeat the swarm, a new limited-time campaign.
Players will not all be united against the swarm, but rather divided into three factions: Royal, Sage, and Weaver. Each of the three will be fundamental, and the ultimate goal will be common; however, only one of the three will deliver the decisive blow to the alien invaders. Battles will take place both in space and on planet surfaces, against hordes of enemies that are fast to move and shoot. The campaign will dispense swarm-themed rewards, such as an exclusive six-piece armor and a jetpack. For more information, consult the patch notes.
