Monster Hunter Wilds Has a Release Date on Nintendo Switch 2

Monster Hunter Wilds was originally released in February 2025 on PS5, Xbox, PC, and next year it will receive its first major expansion, called Ascendance. A few months ago, Capcom announced that its popular hunting title would also reach Nintendo Switch 2, and during a Nintendo Direct, it shared a trailer for the game to reveal the release date.

When Monster Hunter Wilds Comes Out on Switch 2

The release date for Monster Hunter Wilds on the Nintendo Switch 2 console has been set for December 4, 2026. Pre-orders will be available on the Nintendo eShop starting October 20; the Gold Edition, which includes the base game, 10 DLC packs, and special content, will also be available for purchase. Capcom has confirmed that the Ascendance expansion will also be released on Switch 2. On the Nintendo console, Monster Hunter Wilds will be full cross-platform.
