Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance - Announcement Trailer

Capcom played a starring role at Summer Game Fest: in addition to teasing survival horror fans with the announcement of Resident Evil Veronica, the Japanese company unveiled Ascendance, the major expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds. If you're familiar with this franchise, then you'll know that major expansions can have the size and content volume of a full game.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance will continue the original story with new areas and new monsters, featuring new combat moves and the addition of Master Rank quests. The expansion will lead players to new lands to explore: the trailer suggests these are flying islands, where dangerous elder dragons await hunters, portending catastrophic events.

The expansion will be released in 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Monster Hunter Wilds will also be released on Nintendo Switch 2 at a later date.
