MGS: Master Collection Vol.2: Guns of the Patriot and Peace Walker Return
PS3 and PSP chapters remastered in the new package
When Konami released Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1, even rocks probably figured that, sooner or later, there would be a Vol. 2. And so it happened: the announcement of the new package was made during Sony's State of Play event.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 will contain two fan-favorite titles: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriot, which debuted on PS3 in 2008 – here's our Review from that time – and which has never been remastered since, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, a title born on PSP in 2010 – also Reviewed – which later arrived in HD in 2011 on PS3 and Xbox 360.
MGS: Master Collection Vol.2: The Trailer
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 will naturally come with all the extra content from both games; among the special contents, Metal Gear: Ghost Babel, the first title in the series conceived for portable consoles, is included. Unfortunately, however, MGS4's MultiPlayer mode, called Metal Gear Online, will not be present in the package: the mode's servers have been closed since 2012 and Konami does not intend to reopen them.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 already has a release date: it's set for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on August 27, 2026.
