A familiar face to fans of Ant-Man and The Suicide Squad, David Dastmalchian has expressed his desire to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a decidedly darker role. The actor, who has shined in horror cinema in recent years with Late Night with the Devil and The Boogeyman, dreams of playing none other than Dracula or Morbius, two of the most legendary and tormented figures in the Marvel universe.

In an interview with The Direct, Dastmalchian confessed: "I'm fascinated by the idea of Marvel's Dracula. I love monster stories and I think the Midnight Sons are incredible narrative territory." The actor then added that he would like to play Dr. Michael Morbius, the living vampire: "He's a tragic and complex character, perfect for exploring the darker side of the MCU."

After the failure of Morbius starring Jared Leto in 2022, many fans believe that Dastmalchian, with his unsettling charisma and experience in the horror genre, could restore credibility to the character or even usher in a new gothic era for Marvel Studios.

Between a dream of blood and a touch of irony, the actor also joked about the possible return of his bizarre character Veb: "The Fantastic Four need someone to translate alien languages. I think Veb should join the Fantastic Five!"
