Mario Tennis Fever, 38 Characters Confirmed for Switch 2 Chapter

The first exclusive Nintendo title to grace the shores of Switch 2 in 2026 is Mario Tennis Fever. The next chapter in Mushroom Kingdom tennis was unveiled several months ago, yet information remains scarce. Today, however, the Kyoto-based company published a pre-order update on X, stating: "play as Daisy, Peach, and 36 other characters".

This means that, on day one, Mario Tennis Fever will boast the largest roster in the franchise's history. Even the last chapter for Switch, Mario Tennis Aces, after a year of updates, only reached 30 characters. The series' darlings will certainly all be present, and we can therefore expect some more "unusual" inclusions, following what was seen in Mario Kart World. For the rest, expect a trailer with new features soon.

Mario Tennis Fever will debut exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 12th.
