Margo Has Money Problems – The Apple TV+ Drama Series
Margo is a young aspiring writer who has fallen into a chaotic period of her life

Apple TV+ has shined a spotlight on its upcoming original production by releasing the first images of Margo Has Money Problems, an adaptation of Rufi Thorpe's novel and a new project from A24 and David E. Kelley. The series will debut on April 15, 2026 with a trio of episodes, followed by a weekly installment every Wednesday until May 20.

At the heart of the story is Margo, played by Elle Fanning, a young aspiring writer who has fallen into a chaotic period of her life: no university, a newborn to care for, and bills that are increasing faster than solutions. Alongside her is a mother played by Michelle Pfeiffer, a former Hooters waitress, and a father – the retired wrestler played by Nick Offerman – who completes a family as imperfect as it is irresistibly human.

The cast is enriched with award-winning names: Nicole Kidman, also an executive producer here, Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington. The project bears the unmistakable signature of David E. Kelley, showrunner and producer already responsible for successes on the platform.

The pilot episode is directed by the multi-award-winning Dearbhla Walsh, joined in the remaining episodes by Kate Herron and Alice Seabright. With a tone that blends irony, fragility, and moments of pure emotional realism, Margo Has Money Problems is set to captivate next spring.
