KOTOR 1 and 2: Remakes Emerge in Court Filings
The projects existed... do they still?

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake, or if you prefer KOTOR: it's there, it's not there, it exists, it doesn't exist, it's dead, it's alive, who knows. A remake of the RPG set in Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away, developed by BioWare in 2003, was promised back in 2021 by Aspyr, but then the project passed to Saber Interactive shortly before Embracer sold the team to Beacon Interactive, and since then the situation has become hazy.
We're bringing up the topic again today because the name KOTOR Remake emerged during a legal dispute over false advertising involving Lucasfilm and Aspyr; even more interestingly: the lawsuit also mentions a KOTOR 2 Remake, whose codename would be "Juliet" or "Capulet".

KOTOR and KOTOR 2 Remake in Lawsuit Reports
"Juliet was the codename for a project where we intended to do a full remake of KOTOR 2 with modern graphics, modern gameplay, keeping the story and characters and generally the content of KOTOR 2, but remaking it for modern hardware and modern machines with updated graphics and all that kind of stuff. It was something we were discussing with Aspyr," states Douglas Reilly, vice president of Lucasfilm Games, in documents reported by GameFiles.
This is actually the only hint of a project related to the KOTOR 2 Remake, with the caveat that it would still be something subsequent to the launch of the first KOTOR Remake, about which we haven't had news for over a year and a half...
...but who knows, maybe at the TGA this week the Jedi knights will make an appearance, who knows...
