Hyte has announced an immediate recall of its high-end AIO cooler, the THICC Q80 Trio, due to an internal defect that can cause invisible damage and potential coolant leaks. The company released the news through its official channels, urging all users to immediately cease using the system.

Launched between mid and late 2024 as a flagship model above the THICC Q60, the Q80 Trio had been met with great interest by PC enthusiasts. Unfortunately, however, after the first reports of units with leaks already inside the packaging, Hyte initiated a technical analysis that identified a fragile internal component, vulnerable to damage during transport.

Invisible but high criticality

According to the company, the criticality is not visible to users, but it can compromise the cooler's operation and cause it to fail. Hyte emphasizes that the problem exclusively affects the Q80 Trio and does not involve the Q60, which is based on a different design.

The company has ordered distributors and retailers to immediately stop selling the product. Customers who purchased directly from Hyte.com will receive a full refund and instructions on how to safely dispose of the AIO. Authorized retailers will also be instructed to contact affected customers.
