HoYoverse: Teaser for an Unreal Engine 5 MMO Appears

HoYoverse (or miHoYo, if you prefer), the Chinese company behind the global success Genshin Impact and also known for Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero, has hinted at one of its future projects. There isn't an official announcement yet, but a teaser made in Unreal Engine 5 has leaked online, which in itself is big news: keep in mind that Genshin, Honkai, and the like all use Unity.

First details on Genesis

The project, provisionally named Genesis, also stands out for its adopted style, which appears more mature than HoYoverse's typical anime aesthetic. According to initial information, it is expected to be an open-world MMO, set in a fantasy universe. This game might include PvP mechanics, which, for example, are absent in Genshin Impact, and HoYoverse is reportedly using artificial intelligence for its development, although it's not entirely clear how or to what extent.
