Highlander Reboot: Henry Cavill on Set Ignites Production
From the very first images of the London set, the nocturnal arrival of Connor MacLeod

After years of announcements, postponements, and broken promises, Highlander is finally a reality. The reboot has entered full filming phase, and images from the London set show Henry Cavill already immersed in the role of Connor MacLeod, amidst leather jackets, cobblestone streets, and intense concentration that leave no room for doubt: this time, it's serious.
The project, stalled in development for almost twenty years, is taking shape under the direction of Chad Stahelski, a name that guarantees a physical and choreographed approach, far from any museum-like nostalgia. The imprint is that of a modern action film, where the actors' bodies matter as much as the staging. It's no coincidence that Cavill underwent intense training, even culminating in an injury during preparation.

An important cast moves around him. Russell Crowe is expected to embody the mentor figure, while Dave Bautista is ready to play the Kurgan, promising a titanic clash. Alongside them are also Jeremy Irons, Karen Gillan, and Djimon Hounsou.
With Amazon MGM Studios backing the operation, the goal is clear: to relaunch Highlander as a contemporary saga, not just a simple revival. The release date has not yet been set.
