Highguard Hit by Layoffs: Things Are Looking Grim
Just days after launch, the situation at Wildlight already seems critical

There's another twist in the Highguard case: the story of this shooter has been decidedly eventful, but it risks becoming too short. As you may recall, the period leading up to launch was characterized by a surprising, grand presentation, followed by an incomprehensible silence. The release was accompanied by controversy and the developer tried to adjust course, but things don't seem to be going well.
Wildlight Entertainment Scales Down
This developer is the studio Wildlight Entertainment, which has just made the difficult decision to lay off a good portion of its staff. Only a small core of employees will remain to work on the game. Considering that Highguard has been on the market for less than three weeks, this is a bad sign for its future… Plot twists aside, the fundamental point of the matter is that the game was launched in too rough a state, as we explain in our Highguard review.
Today we made an incredibly difficult decision to part ways with a number of our team members while keeping a core group of developers to continue innovating on and supporting the game.

We're proud of the team, talent, and the product we've created together. We're also grateful…
