Highguard closes, servers shut down next week
The shooter ends its run just over a month after launch

In hindsight, one wonders what would have become of Highguard if Geoff Keighley hadn't decided to give it the most coveted advertising spot at the Game Awards. In all likelihood, the title developed by Wildlight Entertainment would have still met the same sad fate, because the impression is that the studio bit off more than it could chew; however, the game would not have been preceded by such high expectations, which proved counterproductive.
When Highguard ends: the date
Wildlight Entertainment will terminate Highguard's service on March 12. The servers will remain active for another eight days, so if you're curious to try it, you need to hurry. The developer reports that its work has been tried by more than 2 million users and that the last update will be released shortly, bringing with it a new Warden, a new weapon, account progression, and skill trees.
