Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave offers a trailer overview

Nintendo has shared a new trailer for Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, to illustrate the main features of the title. This turn-based tactical game transports us to the empire of Dagda, to the capital Dagsion, where famous gladiatorial games take place. The winner of the games will have a wish granted, which attracts fighters from all over. In Fortune’s Weave, you can choose your protagonist from four main characters.

The four protagonists of Fortune’s Weave

The first of these characters is Cai, a determined young man who intends to win to free his imprisoned father. The second is Dietrich, an elegant swordsman who is constantly searching for stronger opponents. The third is Theodora, queen of the kingdom of Saramis, who seeks to fulfill an ancient dream of her country. Finally, we find Leda, a musician driven by revenge. 

The gameplay of Fortune’s Weave

Battles within the gladiatorial arena constitute only a part of the game. Between battles, you can recruit new allies, hone your techniques with training at the martial camp, and even venture outside the walls of Dagsion to find new enemies with whom to gain experience. As is tradition in Fire Emblem, the combat system will be turn-based tactical, with heroes who can unleash abilities capable of deciding the outcome of the clash. 

Where and when Fortune’s Weave will be released

The release date for the new chapter of the saga is set for September 17, 2026. You will find Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2 console.
