Five thousand meters of empty space beneath their feet and a rock face that offers no escape. This is the new challenge in Fall 2: Deadpoint, the sequel to the survival horror from four years ago, for which the first trailer has just been released.

The protagonist is Jax, still haunted by the death of her sister Hunter. To honor her memory, she decides to undertake a climb with an old friend of the deceased, but the endeavor takes a dramatic turn when a landslide leaves them stranded on Mount Kwan. From that moment, survival becomes their sole objective.

The second climb won't be the last

Michael and Peter Spierig, known for Predestination and Jigsaw, take over from Scott Mann, director of the first Fall, who returns as a producer. Harriet Slater leads the cast alongside Arsema Thomas and Tom Brittney.

The new film raises the stakes even further compared to the radio tower of the first installment, transforming the fear of heights into an even more extreme trap. The trailer also hints that danger won't only come from the mountain: secrets will emerge between the two characters, further complicating the situation.

Fall 2: Deadpoint will arrive in US cinemas on September 2, 2026, with a PG-13 rating. The saga is already looking beyond the new chapter. A third Fall has indeed been greenlit, with Scott Mann once again involved as director. We will most likely only be able to see them via streaming.
