Electronic Arts Focuses on Advertising with EA Advertising
A platform to integrate products into games

The inclusion of advertising within video games is a recurring topic in enthusiast discussions: it's a practice many view with suspicion, as it's perceived as an imposition that can break immersion. The core of the problem likely lies in how this advertising is integrated into titles, because it needs to be included in a way that is perceived as "natural", for example, by placing it on the billboards we usually see on the sidelines of a football match.
EA Advertising: In-Game Advertising
The example of sideline billboards is no coincidence: let's think about Electronic Arts and its EA Sports FC, by far the most played title in Italy. The US company has announced EA Advertising, a platform designed to connect potential advertising investors with the world of video games. EA's portfolio consists of several sports titles, making it very fertile ground for such an initiative.
However, Electronic Arts intends not only to integrate brands within the game, on billboards, character clothing, etc... but also to insert them into multimedia elements, affixing logos to interfaces, replays, etc... (and there would be much to discuss here). The partnerships would not be limited to the virtual realm, but would also continue in the real world with specific promotional activities.
