Supermassive Games welcomes us to cosmic horror
Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Supermassive Games announce the release of The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020. The game is available starting today, May 12, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, accompanied by its launch trailer. This video game follows the journey of a space mission entrusted with humanity's last hopes, an endeavor that takes on unsettling horror undertones.
The new chapter in The Dark Pictures Anthology franchise showcases Supermassive's evolution: as explained in our Directive 8020 review, this title had the courage to break free from the typical narrative nature of previous productions, adopting a more articulated gameplay, leaning towards survival horror. Even from a technical standpoint, we are looking at Supermassive's best game, thanks to a polished Unreal Engine 5.
