Dinolords: "hack 'n strat" between Vikings and dinosaurs

Publisher Ghost Ship Games and developer Northplay are back to show us Dinolords, with a trailer that tries to briefly explain what the game is about. Around the year 1000, the Vikings invade England, bringing with them a prodigious weapon: dinosaurs, which they discovered by chance and tamed shortly before. As an English Lord, the player will have to save his homeland from the prehistoric threat.

The Northplay team defines Dinolords' genre as "hack 'n strat", which is a mix of hack 'n slash and strategy. As for the first part, players will have to descend onto the battlefield in first person and dive into combat, perhaps riding a velociraptor… Regarding strategy, however, it will be very important to capture enemy dinosaurs and use them to your advantage.

Each prehistoric creature will be able to play a role suited to it: for example, the stegosaurus will prove to be a formidable siege engine, the pterodactyl will be very useful for strengthening tower guards, the triceratops will greatly facilitate resource gathering, etc. If you are intrigued by all this, know that Dinolords will be released on PC via Steam in early access, date to be determined.
