Dark Matter 2: Trailer Reveals Return to the Multiverse

During the panel dedicated to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, Apple TV+ released the first trailer for the second season of Dark Matter, also confirming the series' debut date. The new episodes will arrive on the platform starting August 28: the first will be available at launch, while subsequent episodes will be released every Friday until October 30, for a total of ten episodes.

Based on Blake Crouch's novel of the same name, the series picks up after the events of the first season. Jason and Daniela Dessen try to rebuild a normal life, but the apparent tranquility is destined to be short-lived. A new threat will force them to flee again, while Jason continues to be obsessed with the Box and Amanda and Ryan desperately try to find their way home.

Returning cast members include Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Jimmi Simpson, Dayo Okeniyi, Amanda Brugel, and Oakes Fegley.

Official Podcast Also Arrives

The universe of Dark Matter will also expand with Dark Matter: The Official Podcast, hosted by Blake Crouch himself alongside executive producer Jacquelyn Ben-Zekry. Each episode will accompany the release of the series' episodes with in-depth discussions on the multiverse, behind-the-scenes insights, and the creative process, alongside contributions from the cast and writers.
