Korean software house Pearl Abyss has shared a new trailer for Crimson Desert, illustrating the main features of Charting the Unknown, a paid DLC that will introduce a generous amount of content into an experience that certainly isn't lacking. This expansion will be available in one week, on October 29, for the price of €24.99: let's see what the main new features will be.

Features of Charting the Unknown

The expansion will tell new stories for protagonists Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane, following them through further stages of their respective journeys across the continent of Pywel. On the gameplay side, the biggest new feature comes with sea exploration: aboard a sailing ship, players will be able to navigate the ocean surrounding the continent, with the risk of encountering pirates and new factions. Players can even venture underwater, where a new world awaits them.

The new features are not limited to the maritime setting; there are also additions for the mainland. In Charting the Unknown, the main characters can form romantic relationships with certain NPCs, which can lead to marriage. Camps will be even more vibrant, as they can be visited by NPCs with whom a friendship has been forged. Furthermore, one's mansion can be customized with a powerful building editor.
