Bye Sweet Carole Among Annie Awards Nominees

The jury of the Annie Awards, the event that celebrates achievements in cinema and all media related to animation, has released the list of nominees in various categories for its 53rd edition, recognizing works that reached the public in the year 2025, which recently concluded.

Among all the lists, which you can find on the official Annie Awards website, "Best Character Animation - Video Game" is naturally of particular interest to us gamers: in this regard, we are pleased to note that Bye Sweet Carole by Little Sewing Machine is among the 5 nominees. This is indeed the first time that a title developed by an Italian team, led by Chris Darril, has appeared among the nominees.

Seeing Little Sewing Machine's title, which closed the year celebrating the milestone of 100,000 copies sold, alongside much more acclaimed products like works from Sony or Kojima Production, is undoubtedly a source of pride for Darril and his team, to whom we extend our congratulations regardless of the jury's final decision.

Bye Sweet Carole is a hand-drawn horror adventure with a style and themes that are, to say the least, "fascinating," and its presence among the nominees is certainly well-deserved: we at GameSurf dedicated two Reviews to it, one for PC and one for PS5; the game is also available on Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.

The awards ceremony for the 53rd Annie Awards will be held on February 1, 2026.
