Avengers: Doomsday – Bad News from Production
The film will bring together many protagonists in this ambitious MCU chapter, but not all of them

Despite the unprecedented anticipation surrounding Avengers: Doomsday, the new blockbuster from the Russo brothers, slated for 2026, has bad news for many MCU fans.
The film, which will reunite twenty-seven protagonists in what promises to be the most ambitious chapter of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will see the return of Robert Downey Jr. but in a completely new role: no longer Tony Stark, but rather the formidable Doctor Doom, the new epicenter of the conflict that will redefine the saga. Unfortunately, however, among the great returns and new faces that will animate the battle, one absence stands out like a heavy burden: that of Andrew Garfield.
The Spider-Man Trio Still Deserves Space

The actor, loved by millions of fans for his intense portrayal of Spider-Man, has closed off any possibility of appearing in the film. In a recent interview with GQ, Garfield was unequivocal, stating: “No, absolutely not, not even for a cameo.” Words that have dashed the hopes of No Way Home nostalgics, where his brief appearance had reignited enthusiasm for the multiverse.
In addition to him, prominent names will also be missing, such as Tom Holland, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Pratt, and Chris Evans, at least for now. But if there’s one thing Marvel has taught us, it’s that nothing is ever definitive. And while Avengers: Doomsday promises to surpass a billion dollars at the box office, the dream of seeing the Spider-Man trio together again remains, for now, just a suspended wish.
